Haddington Athletic Football Club, East Lothian

Football is a popular past-time in Scotland. From watching to playing, virtually everyone has kicked a ball or watched a match at some point.

Haddington, the old market and county town of East Lothian, has a successful and thriving football club consisting of a senior team, several youth teams and a woman's team. However, the British weather coupled with drainage problems led to a severe deterioration of the playing surface, leading to the club raising funds to install a high-tech 3G artificial pitch.

The pitch proved really popular, and there weren't enough hours in the day for the club, so the club approached Viridor Credits to help fund new floodlights in order to extend the hours the club could open.

The result is a spectacular facility that attracts players from all over the county and beyond, and is inspiring the club to achieve great success particularly at youth level.
