Update to our application process

As part of Viridor Credits' drive towards efficiency and a more user-friendly interface, we are pleased to announce that we are planning a major overhaul of our online application system.

The change to the way you apply for funding offers a simpler, more efficient way of working that will enable more communities than ever to access the Landfill Communities Fund.

Using the postcode checker, you will be able to ascertain whether your project is in an area that qualifies for Viridor Credits funding. If so, applicants will then be asked to set up an account with Viridor Credits, through which any applications are managed by both the applicant and our co-ordinators. All communication with Viridor Credits will also take place through this account.

During this transition phase, applications in progress on the old system will need to be submitted on the current application form by the next closing date for that region (below). Applications on the old system that aren't submitted by this date will need to be re-entered into the new system.

Upgrade to the new application form will take place in each region after these closing dates:


North - 28 March 2017
Scotland - 4 April 2017
South East - 11 April 2017
South West and Wales - 25 April 2017

Q - How do I apply for funding through the new system?

A - Firstly, you will need to create an account with us. If you already have an account, you will need to log in and complete and submit the stage one application form. One of our grants co-ordinators will then be in contact with you directly through your online account.

Q - Can I apply without setting up an account?

A - No. An account is required so that Viridor Credits can contact you by email via your account. 

Q - I am part-way through an application on the old online system, will I be able to transfer the data I have already entered across to the new system?

A - Unfortunately, no. However, a lot of the questions on the new system are the same as the old. If you do not think you will meet the deadline for submitting your application through the old system, it is recommended that you print your application form out and use this information to complete a new application once the new system is live in your region.

Q - Do I need to make a new account each time I wish to apply?

A - No. You may make multiple applications with a single account.
